Phylogenetics and Systematics

The state of Lepidoptera classification seems to be in a constant state of flux and I am almost certain that there will be some species whereby I have placed them in the wrong taxa within this blog. Any corrections are strongly encouraged.

Most of the featured species are classified using the first reference. The following references thereafter are some other publications that I came about which provide further details.

Kristensen, N. P., M. J. Scoble & O. Karsholt, 2007. Lepidoptera phylogeny and systematics: the state of inventorying moth and butterfly diversity. Zootaxa 1668: 699-747.
